How it works
Between 11:00 and 14:00 use all the energy you want at a rate of $0/kWh. From 00:00 to 06:00 you’ll get a rate of just $0.08/kWh to charge your EV.
Based on an average of 20kWh/100km and driving an average of 13,800km a year on an anytime tariff.

^This is based on a total of 13,800 km driven per year (source: AAA) where every 100km = 0.2kWh of electric vehicle charging (source: Drive), totalling 2,760kWh. Then using a comparison between The One Plan single rate charges ($0.23155/kWh) vs The EV Plan charging rate ($0.08/kWh) and the Super Off-Peak Rate ($0/kWh) in the United distribution network, Victoria. Actual savings and cost of distance travelled will vary depending on charger, vehicle, household electricity supply and other environmental factors.
*This is based on the amount saved per year for a customer on The EV Plan compared to The One Plan in the United Energy distribution network ($484) divided by the EV Plan charging rate ($0.08/kWh) and Super Off-Peak Rate ($0/kWh) divided by the typical charging required to go 1km (i.e. 20kWh / 100km = 0.2 kWh/km source: Drive). The equation therefore is ($484 / $0.056/kWh) = 8,643kWh of additional usage per annum. An assumption has been made on the amount of charging split between the EV Charging rate and the Super Off-Peak rate based on OVO's current customers. (8,643kWh / 0.2kWh/km) = 43,214km. Actual savings and cost of distance travelled will vary depending on charger, vehicle, household electricity supply, time of day charged and other environmental factors.
**Interest Rewards are paid on credit balances of customers paying by monthly Direct Debit. It is calculated at 3% in your first year (and every year thereafter).
